If these entities came here from another world or dimension, as if that’d stop them if they wanted to destroy us, the only species we threaten with our “weapons of mass destruction” is ourselves. I think the only way we’d be safe against an “alien invasion” is with the protection of other aliens.
I like how we just assume we would stand a chance against a race of beings that don’t fight like us. They could have such far superior technology than we do, heck they could make our weapons disappear into thin air or another dimension.
